I keep considering wanting to be mayor of Domino, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to do the work of being a mayor other than ceremonial stuff.
So would it be smarter to run or to get someone else to run for me.

I imagine having someone run in your name would probably be the better way, if you don't want to do the work...?

But who do I get from my friends' group...
... Do you want to be mayor?
no subject
It's in the plans, but not right now.

I'd ask Shiroko but she's very dedicated to her new fashion line and basically slapped me with a pillow.
Uh.
I guess I could ask Hiroshi...?

Well, I'm willing to listen to any of them, even under-informed ones.

I have no opinion to give about anyone you could suggest in terms of names thrown out.

Fiiiiine, spoilsport.

And my view right now would definitely be colored on some level, especially with any lack of knowledge.

And of the people we both know, who would look the nicest in a professional blazer and a nice tight mini-skirt besides moi?

And reasons why for those people to not be emotionally trusted?
Just to humor me, your poor sweet dumb-as-rocks sister-in-law.
[Private to Noriko]
Well, let's get the point out of the way that your female friends tend to end up spacey and airheaded while in your extended presence, which does already make me somewhat iffy.
There's Suzume, but I feel that she would take the position too seriously, and potentially attempt to cause sweeping, somewhat totalitarian reforms if she really got into it-- but I wouldn't want her in the position anyway since I'd like for us to focus on our daughter, first.
You mentioned "Hiroshi", and I honestly cannot give my approval of her in a non-biased situation. Ever.
Shiyoko seems more the type who'd not want to be in a stuffy position like that, and I wouldn't really blame her. Shiroko... I do like her, but she seems the type to forget she's mayor after a while? I don't know too much on what Shinoko or Kuroko are up to, anymore...
Moeko seems like she'd have the same position as you, and she seems more keen on financials than political organization.
Souha's never expressed political interest, in so far as I've known them... And last I heard, Saikou is more interested in keeping up her online presence and appearances, yes? And creating a following there.
Is there anyone else we both know?
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Off the top of my head:
Sekuta.
The Akaba Sister in passing.
Adam/Evelyn.
Niyo.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
I don't know Miss Akaba personally enough to judge her abilities in a political position.
I like Adam, but: No.
I don't know Miss Mikata personally enough to judge, either. The last time I really spoke to her on a personal level was years ago.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Does Shiroko really strike you as that much of an airhead?
I think I might go ask Hiroshi, mostly because this worldline's Hiroshi is actually a good person. Just an overstuffed gold-digger. But I don't blame you for being repelled by the old one.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
As for Shiroko, er... yes, a bit, but also there does tend to be negative effects to when she opts to take breaks. You do remember how recently she took a break from being a clothier, but then others started to assume she was unable to hold a job at all, yes?
What would happen if the stress of being in a political position occurs and she needs to step away, for a bit?
Re: [Private to Noriko]
With regards to Hiroshi, most of that melts away when you have brunch with her enough times and you listen to her drone on about shoes and cars and old rock albums while having quiche.
... I might have been responsible for the "unable to hold a job at all" bit.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Re: [Private to Noriko]
I was trying to be nice to Shiroko! Let people not hound her for not being at work and let other people keep the company running on some fairly basic orders.
How was I supposed to know it would turn into "Shiroko is a doofy airheaded heiress".
Re: [Private to Noriko]
And because things snowball in your presence.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
If that were true, Black Velvet would be a Megacorp running Japan and there'd be statues of me in America.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Or in a way that you notice.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
... I think I'll test it to see how things snowball.
Since now you've pointed it out.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Define "Controlled Experiment"
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Create a controlled environment to see if things snowball, and have a contingency in case it gets out of hand.
Re: [Private to Noriko]
Those sound like the same thing to me.

Planning to me is "Pick a thing and do it".
