[Noriko & Euphie Story Time]

"No, Mother, not over there. Over there." Euphie said, exasperated. The twenty something, typed at her laptop.
"Okay. So right here?" Noriko said, asking, as she pointed to the bare dirt ground. She was wearing a yellow hard hat and orange safety vest that was contrasted by the garish hot pink skinny jeans on her legs, all the while holding a sledgehammer effortless with one hand, over her shoulder.
"... One second". Euphie said, squinting at her laptop on the makeshift desk the two of them had set up in the field. "Yes, that should be in 97.82% acceptable range of what we're after, Mother. You're good to go."
"Kay." Noriko said chipperly, giving a salute. She then took her free hand and placed it on the hammer's handle and swung it back, before driving it down hard into the ground. Which caused a shudder and a light groan through the earth, and then it was followed by a crackle, as energy surged and rippled through the area. Noriko took steps back, careful to not fall in the kitten heels she was wearing. Before her, the ground twisted and changed.
Instead of the bare field there was before, it was now a road in the middle of construction.
"So, what did we get for that?" Noriko turned, stretching her back, inadvertantly giving her daughter a show.
"..." Euphie swallowed. "Basically, this should for one reason or another lead to the development of Obots from Heartland becoming in vogue in Domino, Maiami City and Den City." The twenty something vampire pressed up her reading glasses.
"Good. I'd been wondering what was delaying that." Noriko said, wondering.
"Reality being patchwork. There's no real reason, just it was 'logjammed' and now it isn't. ... Probably."
"Right." Noriko said, responding with a light puff.
"There are some likely consequences of this, however."
"Oh?" The older woman said, brushing aside a lock of blonde hair.
"Yes. Specifically this will cause other companies in Japan to accelerate their own plans for mass produced robotics. Starting with SOL Tech, I believe."
"Hrm. Is that a good or a bad thing."
"It's a subjective thing, but it does bring up the further automation of labor and whether we'll need to just hand out money--"
"Okay, enough, let's not get into an econ-philosophy debate in June during a heatwave." Noriko said, waving her daughter off.
"Alright. We should get going." Euphie said, closing her laptop.
"Yeah, I know." Noriko cricked her neck. "So, when are you going to smooch that vampire boy? Hitoshi?"
"..." Euphie paused, coughing. "We've decided to wait until he graduates before we even consider anything beyond talking, especially with me being one of his teachers."
"Ah yes, the sudden age up from you being remodeled... what even are you right now, again?"
"That's a. Se. Cr. Et." Euphie said, teasing with a somewhat wooden smirk.
"I see. Want to get lunch? I'm thinking pork belly onigiri and potato salad." Noriko said stretching her arms out, as she began to take off, the construction equipment.
"I suppose that'll do. I'll be taking a blood pack, though." Euphie replied.
"That's fine. It's been a productive day, so time for a little fun."
"We didn't do *that* much, Mother." Euphie said, with a sigh.
Noriko pouted. "Don't be a killjoy. It'll catch up to you."
"I guess."
"Anyways." Noriko, putting her hammer and clothes into a box, stood up, snapped her fingers, and with that, the mother and daughter pair vanished.
